WordCamp Kent 2018

WordCamp Kent is just around the corner now! (June 9-10)

If you happen to know me in person, you know I’ve been knee-deep in planning for this event for almost a year now. WordCamps are designed to teach people about WordPress and its capabilities, get an understanding for the open source project and community surrounding the project, and network with other professionals who use or develop WordPress.

What is a WordCamp?

WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.

What About Kent?

These conferences are designed to showcase the local community, and WordCamp Kent is no exception. Featuring speakers and sponsors from the northeast Ohio region, WordCamp Kent will provide great opportunities for learning and networking. WordCamp Kent will be held at the Kent State University Conference Center in downtown Kent, June 9-10, 2018.

We will be having Kyle Maurer, co-host of the Get Options podcast and a prominent organizer in Michigan, keynoting on Saturday and have some exciting talks planned ranging from development topics, marketing/SEO, the Open Sourcing Mental Illness project, and Cleveland GiveCamp (by the way, if you are a non-profit, applications for the 2018 GiveCamp close on May 15th). We will also have a WordPress 101 track on Sunday for those of you new to WordPress.

So get your ticket before they sell out! Our hotel group code is available through the 18th if you plan on staying in Kent.
